The fifth grade concert will take place next week on Tuesday, December 5 at 7pm at Wayne Thomas. Kindergarten - 4th grade students will see the rehearsal assembly on Monday afternoon.
Kindergarten, first, and second grade students read Trombone Shorty and watched some video clips of him performing. This book is nominated for the Monarch Award, which is the reader's choice award determined by students in Kindergarten through second grade. They seemed to enjoy the story.
Third graders sang two winter partner songs this week. They learned "Snow, Beautiful Snow" first, and then they paired it with "Over the River." They seemed to enjoy these songs.
Fourth graders continued working on their recorder music this week. Students are testing two at a time now, in order to allow more students to test during one class period. Most students seem to enjoy testing with friends.
Fifth graders worked very hard on their concert music this week. They had four full grade level rehearsals with all three classes. They will have two more full group rehearsals on Monday before performing for the school Monday afternoon. If you are unable to attend the Tuesday night performance at Wayne Thomas, please email me, and you may attend the assembly on Monday instead. See the note that was sent home for additional information.
