Week of April 12

Congratulations to the first and second graders on their great Spring Sing performance!  They worked very hard, and I am incredibly of proud of them for all that they accomplished.

Kindergarteners reviewed rhythm and steady beat by singing and doing rhythmic dictation to the song "Hunt the Slipper."  They also learned about the repeat sign and had fun doing the "Silly Dance Contest!"

First and second graders should be very proud of their performance on Wednesday evening!  Congratulations on a job well done!

Third and fourth graders are working on layering all of their parts together.  They have been doing a great job adding speaking parts, singing solos, dancing parts, and instruments such as xylophones, recorders, tambourines, rainsticks, ocean drum, spring drum, gong, and wind chimes.  Some students have even been learning to play pots and pans! If you need an extra copy of the Fine Arts Night information sheet that was sent home last week, check under the "Important Dates" section of the blog, and click on "3rd-4th Grade Fine Arts Night Information."

Fifth graders are doing a great job of holding their own parts in their Spring Sing songs.  They should know just about all of them from memory now.
