Congratulations to the first and second graders, who performed a fantastic concert on Thursday evening!! They worked very hard on some incredibly difficult concepts for this performance. I am very proud of them.
Kindergarteners in the morning class sang and did movement to the song, “Kitty Cat.” They also played many instruments while rotating through xylophone, hand drum, rhythm stick, and claves stations to accompany “Kitty Cat.” Students in the afternoon class learned a folk dance called "Kinderpolka."
First and Second graders did a fantastic job with their Spring Sing concert this week! Thank you to all of the first and second grade parents for your flexibility and understanding with all of the parking issues.
The third graders began a drumming ensemble this week. They learned the high and low drum parts and learned about complementary rhythms.
The fourth graders added cowbell and gankogui parts to their drumming ensemble this week. Every student got a chance to play a different instrument in the ensemble.
The fifth graders are doing a great job with their new drumming ensemble. They added a simple cowbell part and a very difficult gankogui part to the piece.
