Week of May 2

3rd & 4th graders did a fantastic job in their Spring Sing performances this week!  They should be very proud of their hard work!

Kindergarteners performed a folk dance called "Kinderpolka" this week.  They did a nice job with this dance!

First graders read The Little Red Hen this week.  They learned a theme song for the Little Red Hen character that they sang every time she asked for help.  They also acted out the story.  They then began working on composing musical themes for each character in the story.  They are doing a great job so far!

Second graders continued working on their sight-reading this week.  They sang two new songs and performed movement games with them.  They will be recorded singing one of these songs next week!

Third and fourth graders had a great concert on Wednesday evening!  They were very excited to perform for all of the family and friends who came to see them.  Congratulations for a job well done, 3rd and 4th graders!

Fifth graders continued working on the C and G7 chords on the ukulele.  They also began working on the F and C7 chords, which they will use in an upcoming song.  They seem to really enjoy playing the ukuleles!
