Thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers who made our first Arts in Action day such a success! Mrs. Kurzawski and I could not have done it without their help. Student comments we heard include, "This was the best day of the year!" "Can we have Arts in Action again next month?" and "Thank you for making Arts in Action on my birthday! This is my favorite birthday ever!" It was truly fantastic to see all of the students in the halls between sessions, excitedly telling their friends about what they had just gotten to experience.
Workshop topics included jewelry design, opera, dome-building, mini-memory books, music with boomwhackers, abstract painting, sculpture in clay, computers in art, coil pots, knitting, playing in a band, cupcake decorating, poms, hip hop, theater games, cartooning, clay figures, modern/jazz/hip hop dance, card design and photo frames, and breakdancing. We hope your child enjoyed the first Wayne Thomas Arts in Action day!
