Congratulations to the fifth graders, who had fantastic performances on Monday for the school and on Wednesday evening for their parents. They should be very proud of their hard work!
Kindergarteners read a book called So-Me at the Pole, which introduced them to their third pitch: la. They also began learning a song called "The Snowman." They did a nice job with this song!
Second graders did several different activities with a song called "Rocky Mountain." They used finger puppets in an activity where they assessed one another's performances of the song. Each student also made a recording of the song, which they will use next week in order to self-assess and set singing goals.
Third graders learned movements to perform with the "Nutcracker March." They will make a video recording of their movements next week and self-assess their performances.
Fourth graders continued working on their recorder music this week. Most students are currently working toward earning their green or purple belts. They should be practicing their instruments at home for a short time each evening.
Fifth graders had their concert this week! They performed an assembly for Wayne Thomas students and teachers on Monday afternoon, and they performed for their parents on Wednesday evening. They did a great job and should be proud of their work!
